New Tesla Model 3 Buyers Receiving VINs for White Interior Vehicles

Tesla is preparing to start delivering upgraded Model 3 sedans with black and white interiors that were previously ordered, as hinted by Tesla watchers and online posts from Model 3 buyers. Some buyers who received their Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) today had placed their orders for the white interior Model 3s back in January, as verified by screenshots shared online. While this may seem like a relatively minor development, the availability of black and white interior Model 3 units could significantly contribute to improving Tesla’s delivery numbers for the second quarter.

The delay in delivering Model 3s with the paid interior option had been a bottleneck in the first quarter, so addressing this issue could benefit the company’s deliveries in the current quarter. Given that the Model 3 is one of Tesla’s most popular vehicles, it was expected that orders for the upgraded all-electric sedan would be placed following its US launch. Notably, many customers opted for the black and white interior for their new Model 3 sedans, which complements the vehicle’s minimalist and futuristic design.

The re-engineered Model 3 features ambient lighting and an airy cabin, enhancing the appeal of the white seats. However, some customers who ordered the new Model 3 with the paid interior option experienced continuous delays in the delivery dates, with some reporting estimated delivery dates as far out as June 2024 for black and white interior models. Nevertheless, it appears that the prolonged wait for these deliveries is finally coming to an end.
