Coast-to-coast electric pickup race concludes with online final installment

Recently, a coast-to-coast race featuring four electric pickups was completed, with the final installment now available online. The competition was closely fought, and without giving away the results, the Out of Spec team hinted that the F-150 Lightning may not be well-suited for extended travel.

The R1T team appeared to have exceeded the speed limit, although this was against the rules which prohibited speeding by more than 10 mph over the limit. Additionally, the rules stipulated that no vehicle could exceed 85 mph, irrespective of the speed limit in the area.

Several vehicles encountered charging problems during the approximately 2,362-mile journey, and some electric vehicles even became inoperable during the race. The Silverado EV was initially anticipated to emerge as the winner, boasting the longest range per charge among all the trucks.

To view the final leg of the race, a nearly four-hour video is available from Out of Spec, and a 36-minute version is provided by Bearded Tesla Guy.
