Rivian introduces ‘Charging Scores’ to improve real-world charging reliability

Rivian has introduced a new feature called “Charging Scores.” This feature allows drivers to assess the reliability of a fast charger based on real-world experiences from other owners. The system logs data related to the charging experience, such as the specific stall’s top speed, payment success, and overall charge session success when the vehicle is plugged in.

The “Charging Scores” system is designed to guide drivers towards A and B-ranked charging sites. However, for trips off main roads, lower-graded stalls might be suggested for charging. This new feature aims to provide drivers with useful information to make informed decisions about where to charge their vehicles.

By leveraging real-world data, Rivian seeks to enhance the charging experience for its users.
