First wave of Tesla Cybertrucks get Spring Release update: Lead Engineer

The initial batch of Tesla’s highly-anticipated Spring Release update has begun rolling out for the Cybertruck. This was hinted at by a comment from a Cybertruck Lead Engineer on social media platform X. Morrill shared his insights to a Tesla owner who inquired about updates to maps, auto high beams, rear turning improvements, and Autopilot/FSD. According to Morrill, the 2024.14 spring release covers points 1 to 3 and has already been deployed to wave 1, with wider deployment following verification of the initial installations (April 28, 2024). Morrill mentioned that Tesla will release the Spring Release to more vehicles once the first group of installations is verified.

This is good news for Cybertruck owners, considering that Tesla is still ramping up its Cybertruck production. Despite Giga Texas pushing out the Cybertruck in progressively larger numbers, the all-electric pickup truck is not fully ramped yet. Although deliveries have resumed, it’s noteworthy that the first wave of the 2024 Spring Update has been released for the all-electric pickup truck. If you have news tips, feel free to contact us.
