Tesla China launches official sales of new Model 3 Performance, offering earlier delivery date.

Tesla China recently announced the formal sales launch of the reengineered Model 3 Performance, with deliveries set to commence within the next couple of weeks. This update was shared on the company’s official Weibo account, marking a transition from pre-sales to formal sales for the Model 3 Performance in China. The pricing for the top-tier variant was confirmed at RMB 335,900 ($46,382), and it has been maintained by Tesla China.

Initially, the estimated delivery date for the updated Model 3 Performance in China indicated Q3 2024, suggesting a potential start in July. However, the recent Weibo post from Tesla China suggests that domestic deliveries of the performance car will commence in Q2 2024, earlier than previously expected. While the adjustment represents only a few weeks, it is notable progress.

According to Tesla China’s official website, the reengineered Model 3 Performance boasts impressive specifications, including a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 3.1 seconds, a top speed of 261 km/h (162 mph), and a range of 623 km (387 miles) under China’s CLTC standard. This information indicates a significant development for Tesla’s presence in the Chinese market.
