Ford’s CEO, Jim Farley, recently expressed his admiration for Tesla CEO Elon Musk, stating that they have a mutual respect for each other. Farley mentioned that he had even reached out to Musk via text and is looking forward to receiving electric vehicle (EV) NACS adapters from Tesla.
In an interview with Executive Editor Brian Sozzi, Farley discussed the partnership between Ford and Tesla regarding NACS and Superchargers. He expressed his gratitude for working with Tesla and emphasized the importance of providing Ford customers access to the Supercharger network.
However, he mentioned that they still require 90,000 adapters and humorously shared that he had messaged Elon Musk about it. Farley highlighted the significance of Musk’s achievements with the Model 3 and Model Y, drawing parallels to Ford founder Henry Ford.
