Revel seeks to utilize Tesla’s deserted Supercharger locations in New York.

The electric ride-hailing company Revel is eyeing the opportunity presented by Tesla’s abandoned Supercharger projects in New York. The company is considering whether it should develop its own charging stations at the sites where Tesla has already installed power infrastructure.

According to Robert Familiar, a spokesperson for Revel, Tesla left behind some prime locations that are essentially ready for use. Three of these sites are owned by the real estate company Related Companies, while the fourth is owned by New York developer Wildflower.

Revel sees this as a positive development for the industry and believes that Tesla’s decision to let go of the Supercharger team is advantageous for other players. The company views it as a move that has potentially damaged Tesla’s landlord relationships, relinquished market share, and released top talent.
