BMW reaches the milestone of delivering one million fully electric vehicles.

BMW recently achieved a significant milestone by delivering its one-millionth fully electric vehicle (EV) in the first quarter of this year. This accomplishment marks a major achievement in the company’s journey towards electrification. Jochen Holler, a member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, expressed the company’s commitment to BEV growth.

He highlighted the high level of flexibility and the availability of various drive train technologies as pivotal factors in meeting evolving customer demands. The BMW Group is positioned to address changing customer requirements and anticipates a slight increase in deliveries for 2024. It foresees that battery electric vehicles (BEVs) for the high-end premium segment will be a key driver of growth in the current year.

In the first quarter of 2024, the company delivered 82,700 fully electric vehicles worldwide, signifying a remarkable 27.9% growth in BEVs. Notably, this achievement encompasses BEV deliveries across the BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce brands. While the delivery numbers for BEVs have witnessed robust growth, they still constitute a fraction of the company’s total delivery figures.

In total, BMW Group delivered roughly 594,671 vehicles to customers in the first quarter. The company experienced the most substantial growth in Europe, with a 5.5% increase in BMW and MINI units delivered in the region compared to the same period in 2023. This growth signifies the company’s strong performance and adaptation to the dynamic market environment.
