Maserati Folgore EVs receive EPA certification, paving the way for deliveries.

Maserati faced delays, resulting in the postponement of deliveries to 2024. Last year, the company confirmed the vehicles would not reach the market but later announced in late January 2024 its plans to get back on track this year.

It was uncertain whether Maserati would be able to meet the revised timeline, and there were speculations and doubts. However, the company has now obtained the green light from the EPA in the form of a CoC, which officially allows the vehicle to enter the Stream of Commerce.

According to *Teslarati*, Maserati acquired the CoCs from the EPA after applying for them in late January. Both the Grancabrio and Granturismo configurations of the vehicle were awarded CoCs by the EPA on February 2.

Maserati’s roadmap for the future includes plans to launch the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore this year, shortly after its ICE version. The road to electrification will continue with the new MC20 Folgore in 2025, a brand-new large E-UV BEV in 2027, and the next generation of Quattroporte BEV in 2028.
