The project, known as “SpaceX Starbase Office,” aims to construct an industrial complex large enough to accommodate 15 football fields. Located at 52190 San Martin Blvd.
in Brownsville, the project will be integrated into the SpaceX launch facility in Boca Chica Beach. As per SpaceX’s filings, the complex will include a five-story office mezzanine as an addition to a “special use industrial factory” boasting approximately 1 million square feet of space.
The estimated cost of the project is $100 million, with construction slated to commence on February 23, 2024, and an expected completion date of January 1, 2025. An additional component of the project involves the construction of a restaurant with 3,500 square feet of indoor dining space.
The eatery will feature an outdoor deck offering stunning views overlooking the Rio Grande. The cost for this second phase of the project is expected to be $6.1 million.
